Stolen Pit Bull Seized During Cockfighting Bust Reunited With Owner
April Morris said, “It seems so surreal to us. It’s such a miracle to have her back.”
Nina Louise their pit bull was stolen from their home in December, 2013.
April Morris lives in Bennettsville, SC and she thought she would never see her loving pit bull again.
April and her family did everything they could to try to find her.
April walked for miles until she couldn’t walk anymore searching for her and even offered a $500 reward but all this was unsuccessful.
Nina Louise their pit bull was nowhere to be found.
She finally lost hope and accepted that she would never see her pit bull again.
After two years this family couldn’t believe what they saw on the local news.
It was Nina Louise their pit bull being rescued from a large cockfighting bust in Marlboro County, South Carolina.
Right away after seeing their pit bull, April contacted the local Humane Society to get their dog back.
The Humane Society asked her to identify her pit bull.
She said she had two small white spots on her neck.
It was very emotional for everyone when April and her family came to pick up Nina Louise, their pit bull, because she knew who they were.
She started wagging her tail and was thrilled to see them.
Even though she had scars on her face and was in bad shape, April and her family were thankful she was alive.
Nina Louise the pit is now back with her family where she belongs and is being given tender loving care.
Surprisingly they were told that Nina Louise had given birth to ten puppies that were just a few weeks old and that all of them had been adopted by loving owners.
April and her family will keep the puppies so that Nina Louise the pit bull can nurse them until they are old enough to go to their new homes.
