Human-Weary Pit Bull Clicks With Veteran

Chad Fleming adopted Mikko, a two year pit bull mix from Ruff Start Rescue in Minnesota the day before he was scheduled to be euthanized and it was like they were meant to be together.

Mikko was suffering from a deep fear of people when Chad rescued him and Chad is a veteran who has PTSD as result of serving two tours in Iraq. Chad is helping Mikko get over his fear of people and Mikko is giving Chad support to deal with his PTSD and Chad says just by having Mikko he feels calmer.

In just six days they became very close and now Mikko always want to be close to Chad and their bond is growing every day.

Chad’s goal is to have Mikko trained to be his service dog.
