Pit Bull Rescue Like You Have Never Seen Before

This is a rescue like you’ve never seen before. Hope for Paws got a call about a small homeless pit bull.

Julie Maigret, a rescuer with Chews Life Rescue had spent weeks trying to gain the trust of this absolutely terrified pit bull named Eden with no success. She was just too scared to let anyone near her. She would always run away.

Lisa Arturo joined Eldad Hagar of Hope for Paws to rescue Eden. They found her taking shelter inside a garage. Lisa and Julie put up soccer nets to secure her inside the garage. Eden was scared so she tried to run away. However she got caught in the soccer net and luckily Eldad was able to catch her with his Gentle Snare.This sent her into a frenzy. They knew they had to be patient because if they didn’t it would panic her even more.

Eldad had Julie stand in front of Eden so that she could see her in hopes this would calm her down. Lisa was able to finally get a snare around her neck and Eldad wrapped a t-shirt around a stick using his Lucky Leash so that he could safely pet her. After a few minutes he was able to safely pet her on the head. He put his lucky leash on Eden and then they got her untangled from the nets. They were then able to get her into a crate safely. Once inside the crate Eden instantly relaxed.

They loaded Eden into the car and took her to the veterinarian to have her checked out. While waiting to see the veterinarian Eden just fell into the arms of Lisa. She finally knew she was safe and wanted to thank Lisa for helping save her.

Afterwards Eden was taken to Chews Life Rescue where she settled in well and was able to show them what a sweet loving dog she was all along.
