Rescue Pit Bull Helps Mom Find Love And Laughter Again
Erin was experiencing a really rough time after her senior dog named Rascal died.
When Rascal died, she didn’t think she would ever own another dog but then Daisy appeared in her life.
About a year and a half after Rascal died, Erin was looking through Instagram and came upon a close up photo of a dog that grabbed her attention.
The dog in the picture was a pit bull named Daisy.
Daisy didn’t have a good start.
She was rescued once but the person’s dogs who adopted her joined together and injured her.
He then took Daisy to another shelter.
The shelter left Daisy all alone in the back because of a large drain tube in her head and because no one was interested in adopting her.
However Erin adopted her because she realized she could provide Daisy with a loving home
At first Daisy was shut up inside because she didn’t feel her mom was trustworthy.
However her mom refused to give up on her.
Then after about seven months she began feeling comortable around her mom and started coming out of her shell and being her real self.
Now Daisy enjoys making her mom laugh whether it is mooing to get attention or just being her goofy self.
Daisy is the best friend her mom could ever have wanted and what she needed to heal her broken heart after losing Rascal.
Daisy’s mom’s wish is that more people would adopt and rescue dogs to get their best friends rather than buying or breeding.
She says, “Shelter dogs aren’t broken they just need a second chance.”
