Pit Bull Puppy Rescued From Alleged Crack House Becomes Loved Firehouse Mascot

In this video a pit bull named Ashley who was malnourished and covered in cigarette burns when rescued from a crack house is now a firehouse dog.

When Erica Mahnken co-founder of No More Pain Rescue got a call in early January about a pit bull in need, she immediately jumped into action.

Ashley was found inside a deserted crack house extremely malnourished and covered in cigarette burns. There was no water, food or electricity in the deserted house.

Erica Called some friends at the Lower East Side FDNY known as Fort Pitt because she knew they once had a firehouse dog.

The arrangement with the firefighters was to only to be temporary until they could find a place for her to stay however a few days later they called Erica asking if they could keep her..

Ashley is safe now with firefighters who love her and take good care of her.
