Fun layout for what me and my friend played. The grounds are well kept and usually aren't crowded with other golfers.Events are regular though so make sure you call up before you head down there because depending on the day, it can be a madhouse or a serene, isolated experience.

No reservations made, just showed up to have fun. Only one Par 5 on the front. Hawthorn is long, straight and flat, so be prepared to drive hard.Prices will vary based on the weekend, but I usually book online and play 18 holes for less than $50.I will definitely play here again now that I live in St. Louis. That said, I certainly recommend golfing elsewhere, if you want to avoid liars and driver doofuses.

We had a group of six of us playing on Saturday and you could not have asked for a better day and place to play. The course rating is 68.7 and it has a slope rating of 111 on Rye grass. I don't get why I am paying for a cart on a hot sunny day and then having to walk a third of the course. This morning, I was the first one out at 5:54am and finished 18 by 8:30. This year it happened to be at Forest Park. After months of back-and-forth emails, another manager at the golf course, Jeffry Raffelson, wrote to me saying "We don't believe we are responsible for the accident. In mid-April of this year, one of their golf carts slammed into the rear of my car. Every person you came in contact with was incredibly helpful, the facilities were well lit and a perfect reception was created. I was a little surprised by how closely situated the greens and tees were but escaped harm. Update: A staff member got in contact with me and refunded both of our rounds.
