A quick tip to get back to the fight faster is just hold right and fall down twice and then dash left at the bottom. I still don't even have it. Other area of effect charms like Thorns of Agony and Spore Shroom can also be very useful to take out groups of Infected Balloons. You just don't have enough time to move out of the way even if you react immediatelly.
If the Shade Cloak has been acquired, it is technically possible to dash through Lost Kin's Slash attack. As with the Broken Vessel, it is recommended to stay low to the ground as Lost Kin jumps around a lot.
