I’m excited to share another really fun Dr. Seuss Craft for Dr. Seuss Day and National Read Across America Day. Put Me in the Zoo by Robert Lopshire is a fun book to read for Dr. Seuss Week (or any day of the year). Cut out 2 half circles for ears from the sides of one of your paper plates, 3. There is no need for glue or tape as the Wikki Stix-wrapped craft stick will adhere to the paper leopard with firm fingertip pressure. Once your plate is dry, use your small paint brush to paint on eyes, a nose, and mouth with your black paint. They’ll have fun learning about colors with the leopard who can change the colors of his spots. Twist the paper up around the pencil and dip it in a tiny bit of glue.

Love love love this simple but educational art craft. For our Put Me in the Zoo Handprint Craft you will need yellow cardstock, colorful small poms, a black sharpie, small googly eyes, scissors, and a glue stick. I need to find a copy of that book, I'm fairly sure I own one, but not sure where it is.
