Three Rescued Pit Bulls Save Family From Catastrophic Fire
Three rescued pit bulls, two of which were saved from a dog fighting raid as puppies, paid their owners, the Pruchnickis a Farnham, New York family, back by saving their lives when their house caught on fire. They were sleeping and it was about 3:30 in the morning when Dave heard their pit bulls barking. He said that Shrek was making the most noise. “He was halfway up the stairs and he usually doesn’t come up the stairs at all. You know he was telling us to get out.” They went downstairs to see why their pit bulls were barking and to look outside and Dave saw that the whole front porch was on fire. She grabbed their five year old son and they escaped the fire along with their three pit bulls just minutes before their house went up in flames.
The Pruchnickis said that if it had not been for their pit bulls they don’t think they would have made it out of their house alive.
Dave said, “We rescued them and they rescued us so I think we are even now.”
