Highway’s Road Home

This is a story about a pit bull named Highway who was used as a bait dog and was
thrown out of a car onto a Mississippi Highway and left to die.

A woman saw him lying on the side of the road and knew he needed help immediately
so she drove him to the nearest vet clinic.

The vet called in a volunteer from a shelter nearby. He told her it would cost
approximately two thousand dollars to save him.

The shelter was in terrible debt so euthanasia was discussed.

The shelter volunteer made a decision that somehow they would get the money to
save Highway.
