Kona A Senior Pit Bull Survives Heroin OD And Finds His Happy Ending
In this video a senior pit bull named Kona who was deserted at a municipal shelter after suffering a heroin overdose gets his happy ending.
Kona was labled as being unadoptable because of a degenerative brain disease which caused neurological impairments and digestive complications.
After seven months, Mr Bones & Co. met Kona who was a determined and strong willed dog and brought him into their rescue, rehabilitation and adoption program, One Lucky Pup.
Kona spent 32 days in the veterinary hospital where he underwent intensive diagnosis and treatment for several issues.
Kona became everybody’s friend.
In spite of the fact that Kona only had 1-3 years to live Mr. Bones & Co. were determined Kona would find a home where he could live out these remaining years with a loving family and enjoying life like every dog deserves.
Sophie Gamand, an award winning photographer took pictures of him and shared him in her critically acclaimed PitbullFlowerPower series.
A man who recently lost his dog contacted Mr. Bones & Co. wanting to know more about Kona. He was ready to adopt a dog that most people didn’t want.
Dave and his sister, Liz, who lived in Boston came down to meet Kona. The rest is history.
Kona had finally found his furever loving home.
