Nearly Blind Pit Bull Gets Her Spunk Back After Getting Contact Lenses

In this video a nearly blind eleven year old pit bull named Gremlin gets her spunk back after getting contact lenses.

Gremlin started experiencing vision problems a year ago and they examined her and found that she had cataracts.

She had surgery for the cataracts but this caused her to lose some of her vision.

Then she went totally blind in her right eye as a result of developing glaucoma.

Gremlin’s family was devastated to see the quality of her life decline.

She could still see with her left eye however the quality of her vision was poor.

She could only see distance with her left eye and this led to her having difficulty doing easy things that she could do effortlessly before.

She couldn’t walk without bumping into things; she was missing steps stairs and was even having trouble eating.

Gremlin’s lively spirit began to wane.

Her vet recommended contact lenses to correct her vision.

Gremlin’s family who was ready to try anything jumped at the idea.

It was successful.

Time they put the contacts in Gremlin’s spunky personality started showing again.

Gremlin’s family wants other people who own pets to know contact lenses are a great alternative for dogs with vision problems and she is living proof.
