Pit Bull Stolen A Year Ago Reunited With Owner Days Before Euthanization

In this video a pit bull named Titan who was stolen a year ago is miraculously reunited with his owner just two days before he was scheduled to be euthanized.

Barry Gearhart remembers the ordeal and says that it was the worst day of his life. Titan, his eight year old pit bull who he raised from a puppy was stolen from his truck.

Barry searched and searched for Titan but could not find him. “I cried every day for a year for this dog, I promise you,” says Barry.

Refusing to give up Barry once again posted pictures of Titan on Facebook asking for help to find him.

This time he got a response from a volunteer who thought Titan looked just like a pit bull named Hank who was at the Animal Care and Control. Being an elderly pit bull who spent weeks at the Animal Care and Control without being adopted, Hank was slated to be euthanized in two days. They even gave Hank socialization classes hoping it would help him to get adopted but it didn’t help.

Barry rushed to the Animal Care and Control to find that the dog they called Hank was indeed his lost dog Titan. He caught his emotional reaction on his cellphone. Both of them recognized each other.

“It really was a miracle,” said Barry. Titan is once again home where he belongs.
