Sheriff’s Deputy Saves Wounded Pit Bull Mix’s Life Twice In The Same Day
In this video a Sheriff’s Deputy named Brian Bowling in Maricopa County saves a wounded pit bull mix named Ginger from the brink of death twice the same day.
Ginger dug under a neighbor’s fence for the third time in a row and he shot her in the face at close range.
Ginger was gravely wounded and stumbled into the street. Sheriff’s Deputy Bowling was trying to get her out of traffic when she went past him and climbed up into his car. He obtained permission to rush her to an animal hospital and on the way he used a special blood clotting gauze called combat gauze to stop the bleeding.
Ginger needed surgery. Haley Miller who had been fostering Ginger for two years was a single mom and didn’t have the financial means to pay for the extensive treatment so she decided to have her put down but Sheriff’s Deputy Bowling was determined that was not going to take place.
He didn’t feel it was right after Ginger had survived a gunshot wound to the face to die by euthanasia just because her owner didn’t have the money so he paid for her treatment about $2500 with his own credit card. Sheriff’s Deputy Bowling was compassionate but humble as tried to divert attention away from himself.
Miller was in disbelief and says that she can’t think Sheriff’s Deputy Bowling enough for saving Ginger’s life twice the same day.
Ginger is now home and resting comfortably.
“I just wish that there were more people like him,” Miller said of Sheriff’s Deputy Bowling. “I wish the world had more people like him. When you show such compassion for animals, I think that shows compassion and empathy in all areas of your life.”
