Still Smiling The Story Of Timber

This video is a story about a pit bull named Timber who survives being shot at point blank range in the head with a shotgun.

Timber, a one year old pit bull was found injured and wandering on a country road by a good Samaritan who took him to Unleashed Pet Rescue in Mission, Kansas.

When Unleashed Pet Rescue took Timber to a veterinarian, it was found that he had been shot on top of the head with a shotgun less than a foot away and that one of the shots had come out of his neck and re-entered his leg and that he had buckshot pellets all through his body. Based on these wounds, it is believed that someone who knew Timber was a friendly dog was trying to kill him but he refused to die. He kept on fighting and survived.

In spite of Timber being put through this heartbreaking act of cruelty, he is one of the most loving and friendliest dogs there is.  “It’s unbelievable that Timber is the dog he is after what he’s gone through. He doesn’t care. He doesn’t hold any resentment. He lives every day to the fullest,” says Shirley Jones, his foster mom.

Timber just keeps on smiling.

Timber’s story is a miracle. It is a miracle that he was found and that he survived and it’s all because of a good Samaritan and the incredible people at Unleashed Pet Rescue and the best thing that happened was his foster family, the Jones’ adopted him and gave him a loving forever home with them.
