Xena And Johnny

Xena, a Staffordshire terrier mix puppy, was severely abused. She was almost starved
to death before she was found.

After a miraculous recovery, she adopted by a family who found her on a Facebook
group. The family has an eight year old boy named Johnny who has autism.

Two months after they adopted Xena she transformed Johnny’s life. Before they
adopted Xena Johnny hardly ever spoke and played with marbles. Now Johnny is
very talkative, outgoing and sociable.

Xena has helped Johnny become a happy little boy.

Research shows that a dog can help autistic children to grow and become more sociable
and talkative as well as have a calming effect on them.
