Mountain Rescue Of Wallace

Theresa Moulton Vajnar had been feeding Wallace, an abandoned injured pit bull, for over month but was unable to get to him.

After a month, she contacted Eldad Hagar of Hope for Paws to help rescue Wallace.

Wallace was really scared and Eldad tried for three days to rescue him but everything he tried failed.

Wallace would not let him get close to him.

He now knew he had to take extreme measures and those measures was a tranquilizer dart gun.

Dr. Amsel is an expert in the use of a dart gun.

Eldad contacted him and he offered his help.

They decided to do a drive by shooting.

They knew that they had to stop him from going into the mountains so they followed on foot.

Just as Eldad thought he was done. Wallace wasn’t.

He turned and ran toward Eldad.

Luckily Wallace passed out on top of the hill.

He thought Wallace might wake up so he walked slowly toward him with his snare.

He had difficulty getting the loop completely over Wallace’s head because he was lying down.

Eldad knew he could lose him because he was fighting it so he tried to get him to run away so that he could get the loop over his ear and slide it over his head.

Once he did this Wallace was caught.

He put him inside a crate and took him to the Veterinary Care Center to be checked out.

Wallace only had an infected ankle.

Lisa Chiarelli offered to foster him where she was also fostering Frankie and Lola.

A month later someone adopted Wallace and gave him a loving forever home.
